Our Story
Moore’s Rescue is more than an organization—it’s a cause that has all of our hearts. What makes our rescue truly special is that we share the same philosophy: quality over quantity. Every animal deserves individualized care, compassion, and the opportunity to thrive.
Founded on generational family land, Moore’s Rescue Ranch was created with a vision unlike any other rescue in our area. While we help all animals in need, our passion has always been rescuing pets with physical disabilities and special needs—animals that are often overlooked or at risk of euthanasia. We work tirelessly to match these incredible pets with loving families who understand their unique journeys. Our motto says it best: “A Place Where People and Special Pets Connect.”
We are a 100% volunteer-run organization with no paid staff. Every dollar donated goes directly toward veterinary care, food, medications, enrichment, and the daily needs of our animals.
One of our proudest accomplishments has been transforming an old family HVAC garage into The Kitty Crib, a free-roaming cat lounge where our cats can live outside of cages. Instead of spending their days confined, they socialize with other cats, play with toys, interact with visitors, and show their true personalities. This low-stress environment not only improves their well-being but also helps create lasting connections with potential adopters.
Our local Animal Control works tirelessly with limited resources, and we are proud to partner with them by pulling animals—especially those facing euthanasia—and giving them the opportunity for a new beginning.

A dedicated rescue facility would allow us to provide temporary housing for all of our dogs and cats in one location, safely quarantine animals when necessary, and better care for those with complex medical or mobility needs. Most importantly, it would allow us to expand our mission beyond animal rescue by creating opportunities for children and adults with disabilities to volunteer, build confidence, and experience the healing bond that exists between people and animals.
